PM Modi Installs Historic Sengol In New Parliament
Prime Minister Narendra Modi carried the historic Sengol post the puja ceremony after it was handed over to him by the Adheenam seers.
The PM carried the Sengol to the new Parliament chamber and installed the same.

Earlier the PM arrived with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and performed a 'havan.' Before that both paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at the Parliament House, ahead of the inaugural.
India's new Parliament is being inaugurated and the programme began with an early morning 'havan and multi-faith prayer. As many as 25 political parties and dignitaries including chief ministers will take part in the event.
On the eve of the event, the PM received the Sengol from Tamil Nadu Adheenams at his residence. The Sengol holds significance as a sacred symbol of power transfer in 1947.
