PM Modi In Telangana: BJP Will Free State From Clutches Of BRS, Vows To Jail Corrupt Leaders
Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will free Telangana from the clutches of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and vowed to send the corrupt leaders of the Chandrasekhar Rao-led party to jail. Addressing election rallies in Mahabubabad and Karimnagar, Modi declared that the BJP considers it their responsibility to bring Telangana out of the clutches of BRS.

Exposing Scams and Seeking Justice
Modi emphasized that if elected, the BJP government will investigate the scams involving KCR and ensure justice. He warned that those who betrayed Telangana's poor and youth will not be spared. The Prime Minister highlighted his interactions with the people during his three-day campaign in the state and expressed confidence that the people of Telangana have already resolved to oust the KCR government.
Condemning Congress and BRS
Modi strongly criticized the Congress and BRS, holding both parties equally responsible for destroying Telangana. He urged the people not to allow another disease after getting rid of one. The Prime Minister asserted that the people's trust lies in the BJP, and they have decided that the next Chief Minister of Telangana will be from the BJP.
Remembering Former PM P V Narasimha Rao
Invoking former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao, Modi said that the soil of Karimnagar has given a PM to the country. He alleged that the Congress's "shahi parivar" (royal family) did not like it and insulted Rao at every step. Modi further claimed that even after Rao's demise, the Congress's "shahi parivar" did not miss any opportunity to insult him. He accused the dynastic parties of only thinking about their children and neglecting the welfare of the common people.
BJP's Commitment to Law and Order
Modi emphasized that dynastic parties destroy law and order, citing the frequent bomb blasts that occurred when Congress was in power. He warned that terror outfits like the Popular Front of India (PFI) get a boost in states where the Congress is in power. The Prime Minister cautioned people against Congress and KCR, referring to them as one and the same. He asserted that only the BJP can enhance the prestige of Telangana.
Promises for Telangana's Development
Modi exuded confidence that a BJP-headed government would be formed for the first time in Telangana after the upcoming assembly elections. He reiterated his claim that KCR had attempted to forge an alliance with the BJP in the past, acknowledging the saffron party's growing strength. Modi revealed that KCR had met him in Delhi and requested an alliance, but the BJP could not go against the wishes of the people of Telangana. He added that ever since the BJP declined KCR's request, BRS has been abusing him.
The Prime Minister highlighted Telangana's rich tradition and technology but alleged that KCR has promoted superstition. Referring to Rao as a slave of superstition, Modi questioned if the people needed a "Farmhouse CM." He asserted that Telangana does not need a Farmhouse CM.
Addressing Appeasement Politics and Corruption
Modi accused the Congress and BRS of indulging in appeasement politics, promoting corruption, and dynasty politics. He alleged that they have also betrayed Dalits and Backward Classes (BCs). The Prime Minister highlighted the BJP's promises to make a backward caste leader the Chief Minister if the party came to power in the state. He also mentioned the promise to do justice to the Madiga community of Scheduled Castes (SCs) by categorizing SCs for reservations.
Seeking Change and Progress
Modi asserted that change was imminent in Telangana, with the people determined to vote out BRS and keep Congress away. He warned that a vote for Congress could lead to the return of the KCR government. The Prime Minister assured that the BJP's "double engine" government would promote investment and modern infrastructure in Telangana.
Support and Roadshow in Hyderabad
On the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Modi expressed confidence that the people of the country have decided to avail his services once again. Later in the evening, Modi held a roadshow from RTC X roads junction to Kachiguda in the state capital. Accompanied by state BJP president G Kishan Reddy and MP K Laxman, Modi received a rousing welcome during the event. People showered flower petals on him, and some women performed an aarti ritual. The Prime Minister also paid floral tributes at the statue of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar at Kachiguda, where the roadshow concluded.
