PM Modi Dials Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu, Says Terrorism Has No Place In Our World
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday dialed his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu concerning the evolving situation in West Asia. Following their discussion, PM Modi tweeted, "Terrorism has no place in our world. It is crucial to prevent regional escalation and ensure the safe release of all hostages. India is committed to supporting efforts for an early restoration of peace and stability."
Israel's Plans and Regional Tensions
US officials have disclosed that Israel has informed Washington about its intentions to conduct a limited ground operation in Lebanon, which could commence soon. This development comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with Israel seeking to address security concerns.

Netanyahu's Message to Iran
In a video message released on Monday, Netanyahu addressed the Iranian populace, aiming to ease fears of a broader conflict. He stated that the Iranian regime "plunges our region deeper into darkness and deeper into war." Netanyahu emphasized Israel's capability to reach any location in the Middle East to safeguard its citizens and nation.
The Israeli Prime Minister further expressed optimism about future relations between Israel and Iran, envisioning a time when Iran is "finally free" and both nations can enjoy peace, tourism, and technological progress together.
Lebanon's Response and Hezbollah's Stance
Lebanon's acting Prime Minister Mikati announced that his government is prepared to fully implement the 2006 UNSC Resolution 1701. This resolution aimed at ending Hezbollah's armed presence south of the Litani River as part of an agreement to halt hostilities with Israel.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah has declared its readiness for a potential Israeli ground incursion. In their first statement since Nasrallah's assassination, Hezbollah deputy chief Naim Qassem affirmed their preparedness for a prolonged conflict.
Casualties and Ongoing Conflict
Recent Israeli attacks across Lebanon have resulted in over 60 fatalities since last night. Among those killed are three members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine group. The situation remains tense as both sides brace for further developments.
The ongoing conflict underscores the complexity of regional dynamics and highlights the urgent need for diplomatic efforts to restore peace and stability.
