PM Modi to attend NEC meeting on May 27
Shillong, May 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the North Eastern Council (NEC) meeting here tomorrow which will be attended by Governors and Chief Ministers of the eight north eastern states and deliberate on the overall development of the region, officials said on Thursday, May 26.
The Prime Minister will also release a special cover and a stamp brought out by the Department of Posts to mark the 65th NEC Plenary session, they said.

A short documentary film on the two years' progress of the Ministry Of Development Of North Eastern Region Ministry of DoNER will also be screened on the occasion, they said.
The NEC is the nodal agency of the Ministry of Development for NE Region that comprises the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
