PM Modi appreciates Amitabh Bachchan for ‘Banega Swachh India’ campaign
New Delhi, Dec 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday appreciated Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan for his 'Banega Swachh India' campaign.
"I appreciate @ndtv and @SrBachchan for the 'Banega Swachh India' campaign, to address aspects related to hygiene and sanitation. @swachhindia," said PM Modi in one of his tweets.

"Scale of mobilisation & long term planning make @swachhindia a distinctive & definitive effort towards Clean India. Best wishes #swachhindia," he said in another tweet.
Earlier this year, PM Modi had launched his ambitious ‘Clean India' campaign (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan) to focus on sanitation, hygiene and waste management.
The campaign which was launched on 2nd October 2014 is aimed at making India a clean country by 2019.
