PM Modi addresses CEOs at Champions of Change event: Highlights

With the focus on 'New India', Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacted with 200 CEOs to attain their views and suggestions to carry forward the initiative.

The Prime Minister had held similar meeting with 212 young entrepreneurs last week as part of the 'Champions Of Change' programme organised by Niti Aayog.

Under the 'Champions of Change', young CEOs began deliberations on six themes - New India by 2022, Doubling Farmer's Incomes, Creating Cities of Tomorrow, Taking Forward Make in India, Reforming Financial sector, Building World- Class Infrastructure.

In government, the welfare of the people and the happiness of citizens is 'supreme'.

Every citizen must have a feeling that this country is mine and I have to work for the country, I want to add something towards its growth.

Every person wanted India to be free but Gandhi ji did something unique- he made every person feel he or she is working for the nation.

In the same spirit as what Mahatma Gandhi did for the freedom struggle, we need to make India's development a mass movement.

Mahatma Gandhi turned the freedom struggle into a mass movement and we saw the results.

I want 'Champions Of Change' to become soldiers of a prosperous and developed India. You are my team to take India forward.

When we work together, we can solve several problems the country faces.

A global level event to be held in November in country where thrust will be on food processing sector.

One shouldn't only advise the govt as a client but should take active part in decision making.
