PM Kisan Yojana 17th Instalment: PM Modi's First Move After Taking Oath Is to Release Samman Nidhi Instalment
Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on Monday, marking his first action after being sworn in for his third consecutive term.
What Is PM Kisan Yojana?
In 2019, the Indian government introduced the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) to assist farmers across the country. Through the PM Kisan Samman scheme, farmers receive an annual financial aid of 6,000 rupees. Every four months, enrolled farmers receive 2,000 rupees directly into their bank accounts. The government issued the 16th instalment of the PM Kisan Yojana on February 28, 2024.

On June 10, PM Modi issued the 17th instalment of the PM Kisan Yojana shortly after taking office for the third consecutive term.

The farmers who have received the 16th instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme will also receive the 17th instalment. Below are the basic steps to check the updates online:
- Visit the official website of PM Kisan https://pmkisan.gov.in/
- Look for the option "Know Your Status" and click on it.
- Enter the registered number along with the captcha code.
- Click on the "Get Data" option.
The beneficiary statuses will then be displayed on the screen automatically.

- Valid government identification proof: Aadhar card, PAN card, or any other acceptable ID.
