PM inaugurates infra projects in Jharkhand, talks about age of honesty
PM informed people so many development projects inaugurated on a single day will benefit Santhal region of Jharkhand the most.
Sahebganj, April 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday among several other projects laid the foundation stone for a four-lane bridge on river Ganga in Sahebganj which will connect Bihar and Jharkhand.

The PM addressed huge gathering by greeting them in the local language, greeting everyone with 'Johar'. He added that this is biggest bridge that would not just connect Jharkhand with Bihar but to the rest of the country.
He added that the age of honesty has started in India under the BJP rule as he talked about his fight against corruption and black money. He said, "The poor of India want to lead a life of dignity and they want opportunities to prove themselves. I have faith in their skills. Those who have looted the poor will have to return to the poor what they have looted. I need your blessings for this."

He informed people that it was for the first time that so many development projects have been inaugurated on a single day. He said the projects will benefit Santhal region of Jharkhand the most. He added that the proposed waterway will play an important role in the transport of goods on river Ganga.
He further said, "We will be able to help common people of the region with a fast-paced development." As he laid the foundation stone for a Multi-modal terminal on Ganga River he said this project will connect Jharkhand with the rest of the world. He added that the government has built railways and airways but the only problems was waterways.
He said this project will change that and it will create business and employment opportunities in the state and benefit rural areas the most. The proposed terminal is part of the development of the National Waterway-1 from Varanasi to Haldia. Once ready it will have annual cargo handling capacity of 2.24 million tonnes.

He also inaugurated the Govindpur- Jamtara- Dumka- Sahebganj Highway and said that this project will open several doors of progress for the people of Jharkhand. He also said that, "As far as infrastructure is concerned, we are ensuring that the infrastructure is also environment friendly."
During his Jharkhand visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Govindpur- Jamtara- Dumka- Sahebganj Highway.

The PM also laid the foundation stone for setting up a solar power facility on the Sahebganj district court premises and district hospital. The PM ended his speech by appealing people to contribute towards the making of 'New India' by 2022.
