PM Narendra Modi happy over success of social security schemes
New Delhi, June 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed joy on the number of enrollments under the recently-launched three social security schemes crossing the 10 crore mark, an official statement said.
"Enrollment under the three social security schemes has crossed the 10 crore number in one month. This is a matter of immense joy," Modi said.

"What can be more heartening than the fact that 10 crore of our sisters and brothers have been included under social security cover," he said.
"Enthusiasm of people towards social security schemes and efforts of banks have been very gladdening. They made this record enrollment possible.

"These schemes are a part of our efforts to bring a positive change in the lives of be poor. This will always remain a government for the poor," Modi added in a comment from his twitter account.
The schemes -- Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) -- were simultaneously launched at 115 locations throughout the country last month.
