Piyush Goyal lashes out at those opposing Bullet Train
The day after 22 commuters died in the Mumbai stampede at Elphinstone station bridge, Congress leader P Chidambaram scaled up the attackon the bullet train project.
With the opposition attempting to corner the government over the Elphinstone station stampede, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday said those opposing Bullet train do not want the country to progress.

"People who oppose BulletTrain must answer if they want to keep people unsafe and do they still believe in 100yr old technology?" ANI quoted him as saying.
Speaking on decisions taken by his ministry after Elphinstone tragedy, he said, "13 Foot Over Bridges in Western Railwayhave been approved for widening and 10 new FOBs approved. 20 new FOBs on Central Railway have been approved. All to be completed in 1 year."
The day after 22 commuters died in the Mumbai stampede at Elphinstone station bridge, Congress leader P Chidambaram scaled up the attackon the bullet train project, saying the high-speed train would, like demonetisation, "kill everything else including safety".
Not just opposition parties like the Congress, Lalu PRasad Yadav's Rashtriya Lok Dal but even Bharatiya Janata Party's allies like Shiv Sena have lashed out at the Modi government for its priorities.
