Telangana effect: KCR's birthday celebrations toned down
Hyderabad, Feb 18: Delay in the passing of the Telangana Bill has given way for apprehensions and anxiety, but it has affected the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao's 60th birthday too.
What was supposed to be a gala affair turned into a low-key one with the chief's daughter K. Kavitha cutting the cake and hailing her father.
The party leadership had decided to tone down the birthday celebrations a few days earlier as they believed that the time was not ripe for a grand celebration as Telangana formation was incomplete.
The party was pretty confident of the Bill's passage through the Parliament but the delay has lowered their enthusiasm, forcing him and the party members to make the celebrations a low-key affair.
Apart from the cake cutting ceremony, distribution of sweets, bursting of crackers, blood donation camps formed a part of the celebrations.
