(Pics) Funny side up: Jaya, Stalin form an alliance!
Chennai, April 14: Yes, this is a kind of alliance that no one may have imagined before, at least not in the history of Tamil Nadu politics.AIADMK and DMK have finally been spotted joining the chorus of lashing out at BJP's Prime Ministrial candidate Narendra Modi together.
Just hours after the BJP leader met Tamil Nadu's 'Thalaivar' (meaning leader) Rajanikanth, DMK's treasurer Stalin lashed out at Modi saying that he should be bothered more about his own state rather than others.
Jaya, meanwhile aimed at Modi saying a communal leader like him can never take the country anywhere.
In a rally in Tamil Nadu, Narendra Modi targetted the politics here saying,"the parties are busy lashing out at each other for the last 10 years, how can they think about the people."
The two superstars meet
Narendra Modi met Rajnikanth on April 13 at his residence, triggering speculations that the superstar may join hands with Modi. Political experts believe that this could give the DMK and AIADMK a run for their life as Rajnikanth's popularity, coupled with Modi's fan followers can change the face of politics in Tamil Nadu. Moreover, BJP has also stitched a 6-party alliance here for a foothold.
However, Rajini said that Modi's visit was just a courtesy call and that the latter was invited by him for a cup of coffee.
"This is not a political meeting. When Modiji visited me when I was hospitalised, I had invited him to have a cup of tea with me whenever he came to Chennai. So he has come now. I am happy he is here," he said.
It is not unknown that the BJP has been seeking the support of the superstar to brighten their poll prospects here. However, Rajnikanth has maintained his apolitical stance till now.
Whatever the case may be, the given 'alliance' between DMK and AIADMK (even for once) is nothing less than a spectacle.
