New Delhi, Feb 10: The Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) in a 1,000 page chargesheet has detailed the nefarious plans that the banned Popular Front in India (PFI) had in place to convert India into an Islamic nation by 2047

Among the many plans, the PFI had spoken about the idea of bringing the Muslims of Kashmir and Lakshadweep together to execute the larger plan.

The ATS spoke about a PFI document "Draft Booklet for Regaining The Glory of Islam by 2047," in its chargesheet.

The PFI had in this documents said that since Lakshadweep and Kashmir have 70 per cent Muslims, it would be easier to bring them into their fold. It also said that there is a need to create a fear in their minds that Islam is in danger.

The propaganda machine:

The PFI used fear as a tool to rope in the Muslim community. It used every tool at its disposal to spread the narrative that Islam is under threat and unless they do not unite against the Hindus, they would be finished.

This was the same narrative that they planned on using on the Muslims from Lakshadweep and Kashmir in a bid to bring them together. They had also reached out to their community in several other parts of the country, including the Northeastern states.

The fear mongering among the Muslims was created through the spread of propaganda material in the form of pamphlets, speeches. Some had even taken up work as reporters and cable operators to put out the message.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had even unearthed the reporter network of the PFI and said that these persons were used to collect information about Hindu leaders. The information was passed on to the hit-squads of the PFI so that they could target these persons, the NIA had also said.

The propaganda machinery which created fear in the minds of the Muslims was in the hope that they all raise arms and wreck havoc in different parts of the country. The PFI felt that there would be a backlash and this could be used as a further tool to spread their agenda and recruit more Muslims into their fold.

An Opindia report while citing the chargesheet of the ATS said that the PFI had even used the Agnipath scheme to spread panic in the minds of the Indian Muslims.

Titled 'Agnipath ya Sanghiyo ka bandar sena' (Agnipath or Sanghi's monkey army) the PFI said that this scheme was launched solely with the intention of causing a Muslim genocide in India. It also said that through Agnipath, youth in the age group of 17 and 21 will be recruited and they would be trained. After serving in the Army for five years, they will walk out in the world with arms training. Hindus with Army training will form form groups and this would be an army of rioters, who will not run away if push comes to shove, the PFI had also said about the scheme.

In this context one must note that on June. 24 2022, an Islamic organisation called the, 'The Association Muslim Professionals (AMP) had appealed to the Muslim youth to join the armed forces.

"We support the Central government's Agnipath scheme also like other ones. Our message will be passed on to eligible Muslim youths by noted clerics and Imams of mosques in various cities. A special appeal will be made for this by them in the Friday prayers," a report quoting the organisation said.
