Police fails to understand why Peter hired a car from London

Mumbai, Sept 3: Blind faith and love can turn your fate against you and Peter Mukerjea is a classic example of that.

Although police has found the car rental company that had rented the Opel Corsa to the Mukerjeas, they are still unable to decipher why Peter had booked it for his wife though he was in London.

The car was hired from M Motors on Dr E Moses Road, Worli, which is close to the Star Office where Peter worked initially. The owner of the car rental Faizal Ahmed has given his statement and said that Peter and he were very good friends since the past 8 years.

AM Motors also provided cars to Star India when Peter was working as a CEO. Barring that, it also provided cars for free to the Mukerjeas when they hired one for personal use. However, the Mukerjeas always returned the cars with topped -up fuel tanks.
