Paytm Payments Bank FASTag: Steps to Delete And Create New Account
After the Reserve Bank of India, slapped restrictions on Paytm Payments Bank, the fintech is inching toward shutting its services. The RBI had directed Paytm to stop accepting fresh deposits in its Payments Bank, prepaid instruments, FASTags, National Common Mobility Cards, etc.
Earlier, the RBI had set February 29 as the deadline for Paytm to shut all its services related to Paytm Payments Bank, which was later extended to March 15.

However, the government allowed customers to spend existing Paytm FASTags balance at the tolls, they won't be able to make any new top-ups after March 15.
Customers who have been using the Paytm FASTag can deactivate their account and get a new FASTag by simply following the steps mentioned below.
Follow these steps to deactivate Paytm FASTag.
Step 1: Dial 1800-120-4210 from your registered mobile number.
Step 2: Request the Paytm customer care to deactivate your FASTag account.
Step 3: Submit credentials like registered mobile number, Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) or FASTag ID.
Step 4: The customer care executive will process your request and deactivate your FASTag account.
Option 2:
Step 1: Open the Paytm app.
Step 2: Hit the profile icon in your Paytm app.
Step 3: Select "Help & Support" from the menu.
Step 4: Navigate to "Banking Services & Payments"
Step 5: Now click the FASTag option.
Step 6: In the chat box, request the customer executive to close your Paytm FASTag account.
How to buy a new FASTag online?
Step 1: Download the "My FASTag" app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Step 2: Open the app and locate the option to "Buy FASTag."
Step 3: Proceed to purchase the FASTag through the provided e-commerce link.
Step 4: Provide the necessary details for delivery during the purchase process.
Step 5: Once the FASTag is delivered to your address, open the My FASTag app.
Step 6: Enter the FASTag ID or scan the QR code provided with the tag.
Step 7: Input your vehicle details as required.
Step 8: Your new FASTag will be activated and ready for use.
