AP Police Block Pawan Kalyan's Convoy Heading Towards Vijayawada

Janasena party president, Pawan Kalyan’s convoy was blocked twice by the Andhra Pradesh police while he was en route to Vijayawada. This happened following the arrest of TDP chief, N Chandrababu Naidu in a pre-dawn operation at Nandyala. The blockade has led to protests from Janasena leaders and cadres.

In a recent incident, the Andhra Pradesh police halted a convoy of vehicles belonging to Janasena party president Pawan Kalyan in NTR district twice on Saturday night. This intervention forced Kalyan to disembark from his vehicle and proceed towards Mangalagiri in Vijayawada on foot, as reported by a party leader.

Pawan Kalyans Convoy Blocked

The action by the police was taken when Kalyan was en route to Vijayawada, expressing his support for TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu who had been arrested earlier. The arrest of Naidu took place in a pre-dawn operation at Nandyala and he was then transported via road to Vijayawada. At present, the former Chief Minister is being interrogated by Andhra Pradesh CID in relation to an alleged Skill Development scam.

Blockades En Route

The first blockade of Kalyan's convoy occurred near Jaggayyapeta after he successfully crossed the Telangana-Andhra Pradesh border via road. Despite this initial obstruction, Kalyan managed to move forward only to be blocked again at Anumanchipalli, according to one of the party leaders.

"After crossing Jaggayyapeta, Kalyan has been stranded by AP police," said the Janasena leader while sharing videos of these incidents with reporters. The blockade has sparked protests among party leaders and cadres alike.

Kalyan's Reaction

Nadendla Manohar, second-in-command for Janasena shared a video on X (formerly Twitter), where Pawan Kalyan can be heard saying "looks like we need a visa and passport to enter Andhra Pradesh at this juncture." His statement reflects his frustration with the blockades imposed upon him during his journey.

Following the second blockade, Kalyan chose to alight from his vehicle and continue his journey on foot towards Vijayawada. This act of defiance further underlines his determination to support Naidu amidst these challenging circumstances.

Conclusion

The blockades imposed by the Andhra Pradesh police on Pawan Kalyan's convoy have sparked a wave of protests among Janasena party leaders and members. The situation has highlighted the escalating political tension in the state, particularly in light of former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's arrest. It remains to be seen how this incident will impact the political dynamics within Andhra Pradesh moving forward.
