Paudharopan or plantation was the code word that the Dera followers decided to use if rioting was necessary. On Friday, Haryana witnessed large scale violence following the conviction of Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in a rape case.

The code word was handed out to members of the 'qurbani' wing of the Dera. Those arrested have revealed that they were part of this wing and were ready to sacrifice themselves for the Dera chief.

The police have now launched a massive crackdown on this wing which was set up last year. Several 100 people had joined this wing after they offered Rs 11 lakh and a house. An investigating officer informed that it appears that this wing was set up in anticipation of the court's verdict. It was already pre-decided that there would be large scale violence in case of a negative verdict.

The 'qurubani' or sacrifice wing had planned the violence much in advance. Ahead of Friday's verdict, the Intelligence Bureau had sent out a clear warning that these men were stocking up fuel and other fire arms to disrupt normal life if the verdict went against their chief.

Following the arrest of four Dera members, the police learnt about the plan. There were people willing to die that day and cause absolute mayhem at Panchkula. Today ahead of the quantum of sentencing the police are keeping a close watch on the Dera members who are once again expect to turn violent.

However the security mechanism claims that they are much better equipped this time and are even ready to issue shoot at sight orders if violence erupts.
