Pathankot attack: JeM terrorists came for a long haul

Pathankot, Jan 2: The terrorists who launched the attack at the Pathankot air base are suspected to be members of the dreaded Jaish-e-Mohammad. The manner in which the terrorists entered into the air base suggests that they were planning on destroying the entire unit, sources say.

The terrorists were heavily armed and reports suggest that they had entered into India for a long haul. There is still not enough clarity about the number of men who were part of the attack. Security officials believe that the number of terrorists could be 4 or five. There are also reports that suggest that there may be 6 to 7 terrorists.

Meanwhile, ANI reports that the terrorists have been contained to the domestic area of the air force station while the technical area is safe. Choppers have also been dispatched to the area for assistance, it has also been reported.
