Parliament Special Session To Witness 'Historic Decisions', Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi remarked on Monday that the government's special session is brief in duration but carries immense significance in terms of timing and opportunities.

The Prime Minister referred to the convening of both Houses as a "session of historic decisions" and emphasized that a pivotal aspect of this current session is that the 75-year journey is commencing from a fresh starting point.

"...This parliamentary session may be short in duration, but considering its timing, it holds immense importance. It is a session marked by historic decisions. What makes this session unique is that the 75-year journey is commencing from an entirely new beginning...As we embark on this new phase of the journey...our aim is to transform the nation into a developed country by 2047. To achieve this goal, all the forthcoming decisions will be made within the new Parliament building...," stated the Prime Minister.

"Success of Moon Mission --- Chandrayaan-3 has hoisted our Tiranga, Shiv Shakti Point has become a new centre of inspiration, Tiranga Point is filling us with pride. Across the world, when such an achievement is made, it is viewed by linking it to modernity, science and technology. When this capability comes before the world, several opportunities and possibilities knock at the doors of India," he said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the Lok Sabha at 11 am today marking the commencement of the Special Session of Parliament. This five-day special session is slated to conclude on September 22.

During this unique parliamentary session, approximately eight bills are slated for consideration and passage. Additionally, the session will delve into Parliament's illustrious 75-year journey. Notably, the proceedings will take place within the confines of the new Parliament building, commencing from tomorrow.
