Prime Minister quoted BR Ambedkar, stating, "Babasaheb Ambedkar said it's not as if India was unaware of democracy." This underscores India's longstanding familiarity with democratic principles.
Modi also mentioned Rajendra Prasad, India's first president, who had observed that the constitutional framework was not alien to the country. This reference emphasises India's historical connection to democratic governance and its foundational principles.
Women's Empowerment in Indian Democracy

Emphasising further on gender equality, PM Modi stated that India is pursuing a model of "women-led development." He pointed out the significance of having Droupadi Murmu as the President of India. This milestone reflects progress in women's representation in leadership roles.

Abrogation Of Article 370:
PM Modi added that for the unity of the country, abrogation of Article 370 was must. "Since it was challenging our unity, we removed it".
