Park Street rape victim denied entry in restaurant

Kolkata, Sept 20: It is really unfortunate that our society is yet to treat women with respect, despite innumerable campaigns to give them a right that should have been their's naturally.

In a shocking incident in Kolkata, the Park Street rape victim Sujete Jordan was denied entry in the restaurant of a post hotel in Hazra. She had gone their with her fiancee when a junior staff stopped her from entering the restaurant. When she escalated the matter to the manager, to her surprise, he casually said that since she was the Kolkata rape victim, she cannot be allowed entry into the restaurant.

Expressing her anger and disgust at the entire thing, Sujete posted on Facebook saying:

"Another humiliating moment in my life!!!! Was not allowed into a restaurant/pub! Known as. Ginger, Was told by the manager that being the 'PARK STREET RAPE VICTIM' he could not let me in, this was told to me reptedly by the rude manager who brazenly challenged me and added that I could even report his name."
