Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026: PM Modi Interacts With 25 Students From Assam In Guwahati

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with 25 students from Assam under the Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) programme during an event held in Guwahati on Sunday morning. The interaction took place aboard a cruise vessel, MV Charaidew 2, on the Brahmaputra River, marking a unique setting for the student engagement.

As part of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, the Prime Minister shared guidance and practical suggestions on handling board examinations and competitive entrance tests. The session focused on addressing exam-related stress, improving preparation strategies and encouraging students to adopt a balanced approach towards academics and personal development.

The students who participated in the interaction were selected from government, residential and private schools across multiple districts of Assam. These districts include Baksa, Dima Hasao, Kokrajhar, Golaghat, Kamrup Metropolitan, Morigaon, Dibrugarh, Cachar, Sribhumi, Karbi Anglong and Nalbari. The diverse representation aimed to ensure broad participation from different regions and educational backgrounds within the state.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 has seen a large response nationwide. More than 1.5 crore candidates, precisely 1,54,33,285, have applied for the programme so far. Among them, 1.43 crore (1,43,40,916) applicants are students, while 9.41 lakh teachers and 1.50 lakh parents have also registered. The upcoming edition will be the ninth edition of the initiative and is expected to be held in January. The application process for Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 will remain open until January 11.

Students, teachers and parents who wish to apply for the programme can do so through the official website, innovateindia1.mygov.in. To register, applicants need to visit the portal and click on the 'Participate Now' option. They must then select their category as a student, teacher or parent, enter the required basic details in the application form, submit it and keep a printed copy for future reference.

Participants can also download their certificates from the same portal. To access the certificate, users must log in using their registration details. After logging in, the certificate download option becomes available. Applicants are required to fill in any necessary information, submit the form, and then download and save the certificate displayed on the screen. A printed copy of the certificate can be kept for later use.

Pariksha Pe Charcha is designed to create a platform where students, teachers and parents can directly engage with the Prime Minister. The programme seeks to reduce exam pressure, promote healthy learning habits and provide students with motivation and clarity as they prepare for important examinations. Participants are encouraged to submit their questions, which are addressed by the Prime Minister during the interactive sessions.
