They were allegedly in touch with an activist from the right-wing group Sanatan Sanstha. He was picked up at around 4:30 am yesterday in Sangli.

The 32 year old had been an active member of the Sanstha and was operating a mobile shop.

Finding similarity in the murder of Pansare, Narendra Dhabolkar and Kalburgi, the police said that there is a stark similarity in the way all the three were killed. Pansare and his wife were on a morning walk when he was shot by bike-borne assailants. Pansare died in the hospital after 4 days. Pansare was protesting against road tolls.

Yesterday, the families of all the three activists met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to press for an investigation into the Professor Kalburgi murder case.
