Panneerselvam camp superimposes 'two-leaves' symbol, TTV goes to EC
The Sasikala camp's candidate for the upcoming R K Nagar bypoll, TTV Dinakaran filed a complaint with the Election commission accusing misuse of symbol by Panneerselvam camp. Panneerselvam camp on Thursday released a campaign video where the two-leaves symbol of the AIADMK was seen being superimposed on their current symbol, electric pole.
The video shows Jayalalithaa's photo along with Panneerselvam and E Madhusudhanan seeking votes for their party, AIADMK Puratchi Talaivi Amma. While the content is not trouble, the contention is over the twin lampost or the electric pole symbol being highlighted in green colour to make it seem like the two leaves symbol of the AIADMK.
TTV Dinakaran submitted his complaint along with the copy of the campaign video to the election commission of India. TTV Dinakaran's camp has already filed a complaint with the EC accusing Panneerselvam camp of misusing the 'electric pole' symbol and likening it to the 'two-leaves' symbol to confuse voters. A second complaint was filed on Thursday by the Sasikala camp.
