Panna Pramukha: Amit Shah's strategy to conquer Telangana

Each member of a booth committee of the party is given a page of the voter list, and are told to focus on each of them.

The 'Panna Pramukha', strategy is what the Bharatiya Janata Party has in store for Telangana. As per this strategy, each member of the booth committee of the party is given a page or panna of the voter list and they are told to focus on each of them. The booth member would have a sheet with 80 voters, and they in turn would have to focus only on them.

This would ensure that each voter in Telangana is attended to personally. Each booth committee would comprise a president, two vice presidents, one general secretary, two secretaries and four members.

The focus per polling booth would have around 1,200 voters. The BJP's national president, Amit Shah who got this strategy rolling pointed out that the focus would be on the 32,000 polling booths in Telangana. While the BJP would extensively focus on 20,000 booths, the rest would be done by the allies.

In addition, Shah has already sourced details of the voters. The focus is both on the Lok Sabha and assembly polls in Telangana. The BJP is almost replicating its Uttar Pradesh strategy in Telangana as well.

Shah will also have the help of 10 Union ministers and several leaders from Telangana to go forward with this strategy. They would interact with the grass-root level workers in various districts and urge them to bring in the votes for the BJP.
