Panipat Intersections Renamed in Honor of Ram Temple Consecration

Panipats Gohana intersection will be known as Shri Ram Chowk and the Railway Road intersection as Maharshi Valmiki Chowk, announced Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, coinciding with the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

In a significant announcement, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has declared that the Gohana intersection in Panipat will be renamed Shri Ram Chowk, and the Railway Road intersection will be known as Maharshi Valmiki Chowk. This decision comes on the eve of the highly anticipated Pran Pratishtha consecration ceremony of the idol of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a large gathering during a Shobha Yatra in Panipat, Chief Minister Khattar expressed his joy at the widespread faith in Lord Ram. He emphasized the prevalence of good governance and the concept of Ram Rajya across the country in the past ten years. Khattar urged the people to embrace the ideals of Lord Ram and encouraged them to watch the Pran Pratishtha ceremony online and on television, celebrating the day with the same fervor as Diwali.

Speaking to reporters in Kurukshetra, Khattar highlighted the significance of the Ayodhya Ram temple consecration ceremony, stating that it will be celebrated like Diwali throughout the country. He acknowledged the fulfillment of the wishes of millions of people in India and around the world, marking the end of a 500-year wait. The chief minister expressed the nation's deep devotion to Lord Ram and announced the running of a special train to Ayodhya from Haryana to facilitate pilgrims' visits to the Ram temple.

The special train will operate on February 8 and 9, enabling devotees from Haryana to have darshan of the Ram temple. Chief Minister Khattar made this announcement while inaugurating a training camp for municipal corporation councillors in Kurukshetra. This initiative demonstrates the state government's commitment to providing convenient access for pilgrims to the revered temple.
