Police Attacked for Stopping Overloaded Tractors in Palwal
A special police officer and three head constables were injured in an attack by villagers for stopping overloaded tractor-trolleys carrying stone dust in Palwal, Haryana. One person has been arrested, 14 booked by name, and 10 others as unidentified under various Indian Penal Code sections.
In a shocking incident, a special police officer (SPO) and three head constables were injured after being allegedly attacked by villagers for stopping overloaded tractor-trolleys carrying stone dust in Nuh district of Haryana. The incident occurred near Neemka village on Wednesday.

Women Involved in Stone Pelting
According to the police, some women were also involved in the stone-pelting incident. The situation was brought under control after another police team arrived at the village.
Arrests Made
One person has been arrested in connection with the attack, while 14 others have been booked by name and 10 others as unidentified under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempt to murder.
Sequence of Events
On Wednesday, a police team received information that tractor drivers from Bicchor village were loading their trolleys with stone dust and transporting them towards Hodal via Neemka. Acting on the tip-off, the police set up a barricade between Bicchor and Neemka villages.
Shortly after, two overloaded tractor-trolleys were spotted approaching from Nai village. Upon inspection, the police found that both trolleys were carrying excessive weight.
Attack on Police
As the police stopped the tractor-trolleys, five individuals emerged from an escorting car and assaulted the police officers. They also managed to free one of the tractors.
Soon, a group of villagers, including women, gathered at the scene and began pelting stones at the police personnel. The SPO and three head constables sustained injuries in the attack.
Medical Assistance
The injured police officers were promptly rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
The incident highlights the challenges faced by law enforcement officers in maintaining law and order, particularly when dealing with individuals who disregard traffic regulations and engage in violent behavior. Further investigation is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects involved in the attack.
