Pakistan's terror input: This is how they confused India
New Delhi, April 13: One may recall that a month back, Pakistan had shared with India intelligence suggesting that ten terrorists had infiltrated into Gujarat with an intention of carrying out a strike ahead of the Mahashivratri celebrations.
One may also recall a news that floated in a section of the media that three of the terrorists had been killed only to be met with a strong denial by the government of India.
Questions had been asked about the authenticity of this alert from Pakistan. Moreover several teams had also been pressed into service to search for these terrorists and the media even reported that they may have slipped into Delhi.
However a month later none of them have been found and this is because the alert was confusing and now the IB has understood that the infiltrators had entered into Gujrat village in Pathankot and not the Gujarat state.

However now the chatter that has been decoded by the IB suggests that the terrorists could have entered this small village in Punjab called Gujrat which also houses a Shiva temple thronged by 1,000s of devotees. It could have been a plot to attack the temple there suspects the intelligence bureau.
IB officials tell OneIndia that the terrorists could have returned to Pakistan following such a hue and cry that was made.
Certain parts along the Punjab border through which the terrorists infiltrated continue to be vulnerable and there has been a lot of activity that has been noticed in the past year or so. Groups such as the Jaish-e-Mohammad have been extensively trying to strike in Punjab and the Gurdaspur and Pathankot attacks are examples of this.
It may also be recalled that following the Pathankot attack there was a major search operation carried out following inputs that some of the terrorists could have gone in another direction. It was stated that while some terrorists attacked the air force station, others could have slipped into other parts of the state.
