Pahalgam Terror Attack Fallout: Who’s Attending Rajnath Singh’s All-Party Meeting Today?
In response to the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam that left 26 people dead, the government will hold an all-party meeting on Thursday evening. Scheduled to begin at 6 PM at the Parliament Annexe, the meeting aims to brief political leaders on the incident and the government's course of action.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to lead the meeting, with one representative from each major political party in attendance. Sources told PTI that both Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah personally reached out to party leaders, while Union Minister Kiren Rijiju was also tasked with extending invitations.

During the session, Singh will provide a detailed account of the Pahalgam tragedy, in which terrorists targeted a group of tourists in Jammu and Kashmir's Baisaran valley on April 22. Reports suggest that smaller parties have not been called for the meeting.
The all-party gathering follows a high-level security review chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening at his official residence. The meeting, attended by senior ministers including Amit Shah, focused on assessing the aftermath of the attack and outlining India's response.
That closed-door session lasted over two and a half hours and underscored the seriousness with which the government is treating the matter.
As of now, the following leaders are expected to represent their respective parties at the all-party meeting:
- DMK: Tiruchi Siva
- TMC: Sudip Bandyopadhyay
- TDP: Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu
- Shiv Sena: Shrikant Shinde
- JDU: Sanjay Jha
- RJD: AD Singh or Manoj Jha
More names are likely to be added as confirmation continues to come in.
