Pahalgam Attack: CDS Anil Chauhan Meets Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Briefs Him On Counter Strategies
Days after the tragic Pahalgam terrorist attack, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday in Delhi and briefed him on key developments and strategies to counter Pakistan. In the recent terror attack, 26 people lost their lives, including one Nepalese national.
According to reports, CDS briefed the Defence Minister on Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force's readiness, strength and plan against Pakistan, if war takes place.

The incident has sparked nationwide protests demanding stricter actions against Pakistan. Public outrage is evident as citizens call for accountability and justice for those affected by this brutal act of terrorism.
Since April 23, National Investigation Agency teams have been stationed at the attack site. Led by senior officials, they are questioning eyewitnesses to gather evidence. The Indian Army has heightened its alertness, conducting search operations to locate and neutralise the terrorists responsible for this attack.
The Cabinet Committee on Security convened on April 23 to address the situation. They condemned the attack and extended condolences to the victims' families. The committee also discussed the cross-border connections of the attack, noting it occurred after successful elections in the Union Territory.
