Opinion: Time For India To Act Decisively And Dismantle Pakistan
Born out of hatred and jealousy, Pakistan would soon meet its logical fate. It is sad that the country born out of division of India has been trying to bleed India through terrorism in the name of religion. The time has come to call its bluff and end this problem once and for all.
Indian Parliament has already resolved to get vacated the illegal occupation of Pakistan in Kashmir known as Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The whole world has seen the dubious design of Pakistan. It trains and sends terrorists to India to create trouble. There is a world consensus that India has a right to defend and retaliate.

Pakistan is going through a tough time due to economic crisis. The Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistani forces do not see eye to eye. The country is already reeling under pressure due to the movement for Independence of Baluchistan. The recent train hostage crisis in which more than two dozen passengers were killed by Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in March this year is an indication that the country is facing Balkanization once again.
The fierce fight by the BLA has endangered China's Belt and Road infrastructure push in the region for creation of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). There have been reports of persistent bombings of Chinese assets leading to death of Chinese workers. Use of suicide bombers by the BLA has become a nightmare for the Pakistani army.
Years of neglect of the region of Balochistan and indiscriminate army atrocities there have ensured that the BLA's agenda for liberation of Balochistan gets strengthened. On the Western front Pakistan is facing the Afghan forces and there are reports of daily skirmishes between the two armies.
Pakistan wanted to become leader of the Islamic world but it has become the terror hot-bed of the world and very few Islamic countries want to get associated with it. Pakistan's ambition to bleed India has been failing more particularly since the Modi government came to power in India. A no-nonsense government abolished Article 370 and launched unprecedented development in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan continued to send terrorists but a larger number of them got liquidated by the Indian army. Civilian casualty was almost nil.

The Pahalgam killings by Pakistani trained terrorists and the way they carried out their task intended to create a division between Hindus and Muslims which Pakistan has been trying to do ever since its birth. An aggressive Hindu community and hurt and angry Muslim community in India would suit its dubious design to divide the country on communal lines.
Barring isolated incidents of violence and anger and venom in the social media, the country has by and large remained peaceful. Unlike Pakistan, India is a society that indulges in debates and discussions which gets heated but finally allows anger to subside and reason to prevail over emotions. Many Muslims leaders and organizations rightly came out and condemned the violence without mincing words.
No doubt there is a sizeable Muslim population that affiliates with Pakistan emotionally because of historical and Islamic links. They are the ones who cheer when Pakistan beats India in cricket and vitiate the atmosphere. The Hindus rightly question their loyalty. But there are also a large Muslim population who have come to realize that they are wedded to the fate of India and there was no way than to live peacefully with their Hindu neighbours.
As the grounds of differences get covered up such as the issues of personal laws that fosters inequality between subjects of the same constitution, the situation would improve. As Pakistan would lose its clout and get increasingly defamed and impoverished, this affiliation would get whittled.
Pakistan today stands isolated and not even Islamic countries are supporting its nefarious acts. And India knows that international isolation of Pakistan is must before any military strike on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan is launched. A silent India seething in anger means that Pakistan is not safe now and it must face the wrath of an average Indian.
Prime Minister Modi has vowed revenge and everyone who knows him knows that he does what he says unlike others who just shout from the top of their voice and then forget. Pakistan's provocation has come at a wrong time when India is well equipped militarily and has been on an alert stage to face Two and a Half front wars.
Demolishing Pakistan and its claim to representing Islam is must for survival of India as a peaceful nation. There are other Islamic countries that does not promotes terrorism as a tool to attack other people. Pakistan's Islam is dangerous to humanity since terrorists indoctrinated by Pakistani mullahs are trained to blow themselves up in anticipation of better lives after death. There is hardly a difference between the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) that kill Muslims if they do not follow their version of Islam and the ISI (Inter- Services Intelligence) that sends terrorists in the name of Islam.

India needs to support aspiration of people in Pakistan for a truly democratic society that would be governed by secular laws and where people of all denominations would be able to live peacefully. India has to assert its ideology of democracy that it seeks for itself and not live in false hope that it would be untouched by what is happening in neighbouring countries.
This is what the Modi government has realised and has been acting decisively to create a better India based on equality. But we cannot live in peace unless our neighbouring country that has become synonymous with terrorism is taught a lesson that it would never forget for at least 1000 years. It is time to act now. Close to 1.5 million member strong army is capable of doing anything if given clear instructions.
