Operations Normalise At IndiGo With Over 1,800 Flights And 90%+ Punctuality
IndiGo announced that its operations have stabilized after days of disruption, with the airline now operating more than 1,800 flights daily and achieving a 91% on-time performance. The carrier has fully reconnected all stations across its network and continues working to resolve the remaining passenger-related issues. It has also processed refunds amounting to Rs 827 crore and extended extensive support to stranded customers through accommodation and transportation.
In a statement issued on Monday, IndiGo said it has restored its entire network and is running over 1,800 flights, marking a notable improvement from the previous week. The airline reported that its on-time performance has risen from roughly 75% earlier to 90% on Monday, while total daily flights have increased from about 1,650 to more than 1,800. IndiGo added that all cancellations were communicated to passengers in advance and that operational optimization has helped bring disruptions under control.

IndiGo said passenger assistance remains a priority as it continues to address pending issues. "We remain committed to assisting our customers and addressing their queries and requests on a war footing. To this end, we have expedited several internal processes," an airline spokesperson said.
The airline confirmed that refunds worth Rs 827 crore have already been processed for cancellations up to December 15, 2025. Between December 1 and 7, IndiGo arranged over 9,500 hotel rooms and nearly 10,000 cabs and buses for stranded travellers. More than 4,500 bags have been returned, with the rest expected to reach passengers within the next 36 hours.
IndiGo stated that around two lakh customers are receiving assistance each day through multiple communication platforms. The carrier has advised passengers to check updated flight information before travelling to the airport and to use its website or customer care channels for refund-related queries.
"We regret this disruption and apologize sincerely to all our customers. We would like to reiterate that all our operations are fully compliant with FDTL norms and safety regulations, as they have been throughout the last two decades. We continue to work in full cooperation with the authorities to restore normalcy," the spokesperson said. The airline also thanked passengers for their patience and acknowledged the continued dedication of its employees and partners.
