ONGC Employee Takes Own Life After Killing Children Over Academic Worries
In a heartbreaking incident from Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, a 37-year-old ONGC employee took his own life after drowning his two young sons in a bucket of water. The devastating act was reportedly driven by his deep disappointment over their academic performance and a fear that they would struggle in an increasingly competitive world.
According to police reports, the tragedy unfolded on Friday morning. The man's wife, who had gone to the market, returned home to an unthinkable scene-her husband was found hanging in their bedroom, while their children were lifeless nearby. Overcome with grief and shock, she rushed for help, but it was too late.

Authorities believe the father was unable to cope with the idea that his children might not excel in their studies. A suicide note was recovered from the scene, and forensic teams are examining its contents for more insight into his state of mind. Officials have launched an investigation to fully understand the circumstances that led to this tragic decision.
Initially, the mother filed a complaint against her husband, unaware that he had also taken his life. His body was discovered the following day, nearly three kilometers away.
This heartbreaking case is a stark reminder of the immense pressure that families and children face when it comes to academic success. It highlights the need for open conversations about mental health and the dangers of unrealistic expectations.
