One Recovered, Six Missing After Group Drowns In Narmada River In Gujarat
Seven members of a family tragically drowned in the Narmada River at Poicha while swimming on Tuesday afternoon. Search and rescue operations are being conducted by NDRF and the Vadodara Fire Team.
Kishan Dan Gadhvi, the Provincial Officer of Narmada, stated, "Yesterday around 12 pm, eight individuals from Surat encountered difficulty in the river. While locals managed to rescue one person, seven others remained missing. Two NDRF teams and fire teams are engaged in the rescue efforts. One body has been recovered, and the search for the remaining six continues..."

These individuals were among a group of 17 visitors from Surat who had come to Poicha village to perform rituals and take a holy bath in the Narmada River after offering prayers at a temple.
