One killed, 17 injured in Himachal accident

Shimla, Aug 26: One passenger was killed and 17 injured on Tuesday when a bus carrying them skidded off the road and rolled down a hill in Himachal Pradesh, police said.

One of the seriously injured passengers was referred to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla.

The Himachal Road Transport Corporation bus was on way to Bilaspur town when the accident occurred near Bagha, around 75 km from here, a police official told IANS.

He said the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.

Most of the victims were locals.
