On way to Saifai, Modi makes brief stop in Agra

Agra, Feb 21: On his way to attend the pre-wedding ceremony for a marriage involving the houses of SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and RJD chief Lalu Yadav, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday made a brief stopover here to bless the niece of Union Minister Ram Shankar Katheria ahead of her wedding day.

Modi visited the Minister of State for HRD Katheriya's residence here before heading off to Saifai.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and HRD Minister Smriti Irani will be among those attending Katheria's niece's wedding on Feb. 22.

Also to be present are their Cabinet colleagues Maneka Gandhi, Uma Bharati, Kalraj Mishra, Narendra Tomar, etc, along with BJP and RSS leaders.
