On 'Adipurush' Dialogues, Manoj Muntashir Issues Unconditional Apology

After weeks of controversy around Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon starrer mega-budget film 'Adipurush', dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir on Saturday penned a heartfelt apology for hurting the audience's sentiments.

Manoj Muntashir faced severe backlash on social media for using modern-day slang in the dialogues, which were found 'cringeworthy' by the audiences.

"I accept people's emotions have been hurt by 'Adipurush'. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation," tweeted Manoj Muntashir.

The movie also faced criticism for the quality of its VFX and 'tapori' style dialogues mouthed by the actor playing Lord Hanuman. Critics were more severe in judging the film, calling it a hotch-potch of movies of the past.

The multilingual spectacle, produced by T-Series, was released across the nation in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil languages. Produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, Adipursh has a budget of Rs 500 crore.

However, netizens are not happy with it at all.

"This is the tactic to escape from the accountability n put blame on the audience that their emotions got hurt n that's why film got disaster response. Apology not accepted. Hanumanji dekh rahe hain Sab. It's too late now," a twitter user said.

"First he jumped like a monkey from studio to studio to arrogantly defend and justify. Now he apologizes because he wants work in the film industry," another tweeted.

"Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer Adipurush is at the tail end of its theatrical run and now this fellow makes this statement whereas previously he refused to even accept Hanuman ji as God and what not unacceptable was featured in the movie in terms of tapori language!," another commented.
