Omar Abdullah's Delhi-Bound Flight Diverted To Jaipur, Frustrated J&K CM Slams Delhi Airport Authorities

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah slammed IndiGo after his Srinagar to Delhi flight was diverted to Jaipur on Saturday night. Taking it to twitter, J&K CM launched scathing attack at the airlines and called it a "sh*t show"

Posting his picture along side airplane, CM Abdullah said "Delhi airport is a bloody sh*t show (excuse my French but I'm in no mood to be polite). 3 hours in the air after we left Jammu we get diverted to Jaipur & so here I am at 1 in the morning on the steps of the plane getting some fresh air. I've no idea what time we will leave from here."

The reason for diversion of flight was said to be "apparent congestion or disruption" at the Delhi Airport, which was not accepted by the Chief Minister, who was furious at that time, after being left stranded at Jaipur Airport runway for hours.

CM shared another post three hours later, saying, "In case anyone is wondering, I got to Delhi just after 3:00 AM".

On Sunday morning, the Delhi Airport issued an advisory for passengers that reads: "Air traffic flow management measures for flight arrivals will be implemented today to ensure safe operations, in accordance with international and regulatory protocols, keeping passenger safety as the highest priority. All other operations across terminals and three runways at Delhi Airport, continue to function normally. Passengers are advised to stay in touch with their respective airlines for the latest updates on flight schedules."

"We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding."
