Oil spill on Mumbai-Pune Expressway leads to traffic snarl

Pune, Feb 20: As an oil-tanker met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway near Khandala exit on Saturday, the entire traffic on the both the sides came to a standstill.

The resultant oil spillage threatened the safety of the passerby and therefore, traffic was diverted to the old highway causing bumper to bumper traffic on that alternate route too.

This has severely hurt the traffic from both the sides, which adds to the pressure of the shutting down of one of the four lanes headed towards Pune for maintenance purpose.
