Yogendra Yadav, activist and founder of Swaraj India, had predicted the near-perfect figures for the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. He shared his insights on the alliance's journey and the parallels drawn from past political landscapes. Reflecting on the prevailing context of the elections, Yadav emphasised the pivotal role of media bias, governmental unaccountability, and disparate financial resources between the ruling party and the opposition.

He underscored the significant disparity in resources, with government entities seemingly aligned with the BJP's agenda, creating an uneven playing field for the opposition. Yadav's perspective challenged the conventional narrative, asserting that despite securing 235 seats, the opposition's impact equated to that of a 335-seat alliance.

He highlighted the necessity for a re-evaluation of success metrics beyond mere seat counts, emphasising the nuanced dynamics at play in contemporary Indian politics. Delving into the shortcomings of the INDIA Alliance's strategy, Yadav outlined several areas for improvement. He advocated for a cohesive and comprehensive approach, suggesting the formulation of a joint manifesto and a five-point charter to articulate the alliance's vision effectively.

Additionally, he criticised the delayed synergy in key states like Uttar Pradesh, positing that earlier collaboration could have yielded more favourable outcomes.
Yadav's analysis serves as a call to action, urging the alliance to introspect and adapt to the changing dynamics of Indian politics. By fostering greater unity, transparency, and strategic foresight, Mr Yadav says the alliance can navigate future electoral battles with renewed vigour and resilience.
