Bhubaneswar, February 10: Odisha has set an ambitious goal of fostering 100 startups with a turnover of ₹100 crore each by 2036, coinciding with the state's centenary year. This vision was shared by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during a fireside chat at the 100 Cube Startup Conclave held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar.
IIT Bhubaneswar's Role in Nurturing Talent
Pradhan emphasized the significant role that the youth of Odisha will play in India's development as the nation approaches its 100th year of Independence in 2047. He highlighted the crucial role of IIT Bhubaneswar in anchoring the state's talent and fostering innovation.
100 Cube Event: A Catalyst for Entrepreneurship
The 100 Cube event organized by IIT Bhubaneswar serves as a platform to achieve the goal of creating 100 startups with a turnover exceeding ₹100 crore by 2036. Pradhan expressed his commitment to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship in India through collaborative efforts.
Growth of Startup Ecosystem in India
Pradhan acknowledged the remarkable growth of the startup ecosystem in India during the past 10 years of the Narendra Modi government. He highlighted the emergence of tech talent from all regions, particularly economically backward states, contributing to this growth.
