Odisha: MCI puts admission to 250 MBBS seats on hold

Bhubaneswar, Aug 3: The Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to hold admission to 250 MBBS seats in three private medical colleges in Odisha.

The apex body has taken the decision in view of absence of required infrastructure in these colleges.

Odisha: MBBS admissions on hold

MCI denied permission to Hi-Tech Medical College in Rourkela, Sardar Rajas Medical College at Jaring in Kalahandi district and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in Bhubaneswar for admission to MBBS courses in this academic year.

Sardar Rajas Medical College had applied for renewal of 100 seats for its fourth batch while Hi-Tech Medical College had applied for 100 seats in its fifth batch.

The Medical Council of India (MCI) this year made provision for a single eligibility cum entrance examination National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS Courses in various colleges across the nation.
