Earlier in the day, a woman from Cuttack district gave birth to a baby boy at Niali Hospital. This event was announced by the state's Information and Public Relations department. The mother was among the pregnant women relocated to cyclone shelters. Both she and her newborn are reportedly in good health.

Health and Safety Measures for Evacuees

The department stated that authorities ensured a safe delivery for the baby boy at Niali Hospital amidst ongoing cyclone preparations. "Evacuated woman Sai Swapna Behera and her newborn are doing well," they added. Disaster response teams are actively providing safety and medical care for all affected individuals.

The state government remains focused on ensuring the safety of its citizens during Cyclone Dana. With extensive evacuation efforts and coordinated support from disaster response teams, Odisha aims to minimise risks and provide necessary aid to those in need.
