Obscene videos: CBI gets transit remand of Bengaluru based accused

Bengaluru, May 15: Kaushik, the man arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) after he was found to be uploading obscene videos will be taken to New Delhi for further investigations.

Kaushik who worked in a rent a driver firm was arrested after the CBI tracked down his IP address through which rape videos and other obscene clips were being uploaded.

He was produced before a Special CBI court today which granted his transit remand for four days. He will bet taken to New Delhi and then to Sitapur. He will also be taken to Odisha as this case has nation wide ramifications.

A nation wide racket:

The CBI has found that this case is connected to a big gang which has been uploading obscene clips and sending them out as an MMS. The CBI had also arrested several other persons in connection with this case.

Koushik who has been in Bengaluru since 2013 was working with a rent a driver service. The CBI found that several obscene videos were being uploaded on the internet. On tracking the same they found the IP address to be in Bengaluru.

The CBI also found that several obscene videos had been uploaded by Koushik at the behest of his friends. The Supreme Court which is seized off the matter had taken strong objection to such clips being in circulation. It had directed the CBI to probe into the matter thoroughly and report to it.
