O Panneerselvam has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu
O Panneerselvam has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in the wake of J Jayalalithaa's demise. In-charge Governor Vidyasagar Rao began the oath taking ceremony with a 2 minute silence as a mark of respect to the soul of J Jayalalithaa.

MLAs of AIADMK elected Panneerselvam as the leader of their legislative party late Monday evening even as announcement of Jayalalithaa's demise came from Apollo hospital. P Panneerselvam was discharging duties as Ad-hoc Chief Minister after Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospital.
