Shocking Incident: Mining Mafia's Daring Attack on SDM Team in Nuh, Haryana
An overloaded dumper truck driver, allegedly part of the mining mafia, tried to knock over a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) and his team who signaled him to stop for inspection. In another incident, a seized overloaded dumper was forcibly retrieved by its driver after assaulting a police constable. Two separate cases have been registered regarding these incidents.
In a shocking incident that took place in Nuh, Haryana on September 29, the driver of an overloaded dumper truck allegedly associated with the mining mafia attempted to knock down anyone who obstructed his path. This occurred when a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) and his team signaled for the vehicle to halt for inspection. The police reported this incident on Friday.
Escaping By Any Means

The driver of the dumper truck did not just attempt to run over those who stood in his way but also created obstructions for the SDM and his team by throwing stones on the road during escape. The audacity of such actions highlights a blatant disregard for law enforcement authorities and raises concerns about public safety at large.
Another Incident: Seized Dumper Forcibly Taken Back
In another alarming episode, an overloaded dumper which had been seized was forcibly reclaimed by its driver after assaulting a police constable. These incidents reflect an escalating level of violence and brazenness amongst individuals involved in illegal activities like unregulated mining operations.
Two Separate Cases Registered
In response to these egregious events, two separate cases were registered at Sadar Tauru and Ferozpur Jhirka police stations regarding incidents that transpired on Wednesday. In one case, Tauru SDM Sanjeev Kumar along with his team signalled a truck loaded with mined material to stop around 2 pm; however, rather than complying, the driver allegedly accelerated trying to hit whoever came into sight.
Culprit Flees But Accomplice Arrested
The rogue driver managed to escape with the vehicle but couldn't evade justice completely as Mustafa, identified as an accomplice of him was apprehended by SDMs security team. Despite his arrest, Mustafa was released on bail after he joined the investigation. This raises questions about the efficacy of current legal procedures in dealing with such severe crimes.
Special Team Formed To Investigate
In a move to address this grave issue, a special team has been formed to delve into the matter and raids are being conducted. It is hoped that these measures will lead to more arrests and help curb such lawlessness in future.
In conclusion, these incidents shed light on an alarming situation where those involved in illegal mining activities are resorting to violence against law enforcement authorities. The audacity of these perpetrators not only threatens public safety but also undermines the rule of law. The formation of a special investigative team is indeed a step forward; however, it remains essential for stricter laws and more robust enforcement mechanisms to be put in place for effectively tackling such brazen criminal behaviour.
