NSF alleges govt dept appointment done through backdoor method

In a representation submitted to the Nagaland Chief Secretary, NSF vice president Joseph Ngouri and general secretary Esther Rhakho today said "As per the information received by the Federation through RTI Act, 551 post of Grade-III, 137 post of Grade-II and 36 post of Grade-I have been appointed in 36 departments under various categories."
Through such "anomalies", deserving candidates were being denied of their legitimate rights and opportunities which was creating uncertainty and insecurity among them, the NSF said.
"Therefore, in the interest of the educated youth and the students’ community, the NSF is demanding requisition of all the posts which has been appointed through backdoor means to the NPSC," the representation said.
"The concerned department should send requisition to the NPSC within 25 days of submission of this representation for open recruitment, failing which the NSF will not hesitate to initiate any mode of agitation to cleanse the system and the corrupt practices," the NSF warned.
