Freedom fighter Ramesh Chand passes away
Muzaffarnagar, Sept 20: Veteran freedom fighter and senior civil lawyer Ramesh Chand passed away at his residence here due to age-related ailments.
He was 93. His mortal remains were consigned to the flames today in presence of social workers, lawyers and imminent citizens.
According to the family, Chand, who died yestreday, had taken an active part in 'Quit India Movement' in 1942, following which he also served prison.
