Now, DLF to sell flats through Snapdeal

New Delhi, March 10: Realty biggie DLF has tied-up with Snapdeal to sell flats across the country at a discount price of 1% to potential buyers. DLF will be offering about 50 flats in eight housing projects across the country ranging from Rs. 34 lakh to Rs. 3 crore.In fact, customers can book a flat for merely Rs 30,000 on snapdeal. While the offer is likely to start in a week, these projects are located in New Chandigarh, Panchkula, Lucknow, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata.

Incidentally, this is the first time DLF has tied up with an e-commerce form.

However, other biggies like Tata Housing, Puravankara, Godrej Properties had taken this route previously. Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi, the universal executive director - sales & marketing of DLF said,"Digital marketing is fast emerging as the most cost efficient option to reach out to potential customers.

Over a period of time, our customer segment is getting younger and younger. They belong to the digital era. Therefore, from a distribution point of view, digital platforms are one of the important outlets."

This would not only help DLF To reach the population here, but also NRIs. DLF is planning to monetise properties worth about Rs 15,000 crore under several projects to increase cash flow and reduce debt.

The Snapdeal spokesperson, when contacted, confirmed the tie-up. He further added,"Real Estate category on Snapdeal has seen a tremendous response from customers since its launch in August last year. The category has grown significant in the last six months and has exceeded all our expectations."

With a track record of tying up with Tata Value Homes, Godrej Properties and Kolte Patil, Snapdeal aims to become the most trusted online medium to buy apartments.
