Gangster Ballu Pehalwans Brutal Assassination: 20 Bullets Fired in Faridabad Gang War

In a shocking turn of events, notorious Delhi-based gangster Ballu Pehalwan fell victim to a brazen drive-by shooting in Faridabad. The incident, believed to be a result of gang rivalry, unfolded as armed assailants intercepted Pehalwans motorbike and unleashed a hail of 20 bullets, leaving him fatally wounded.

In a brazen act of violence, Delhi-based gangster Ballu Pehalwan was gunned down in Faridabad on Tuesday evening. The incident occurred around 6:30 pm in Sector 11 when Pehalwan was returning from the gym on his motorbike. Armed assailants in a car intercepted him and fired approximately 20 bullets, leaving him dead on the spot.

Eyewitness Accounts

Eyewitnesses reported hearing continuous gunfire for about two minutes as the attackers relentlessly targeted Pehalwan. The assailants managed to flee the scene after the attack, leaving behind a trail of horror and confusion.

Police Investigation

The Faridabad Police promptly responded to the incident, with senior officers, including Police Commissioner Rakesh Arya, DCP Rajesh Duggal, and ACP Crime Aman Yadav, rushing to the scene. A thorough investigation was initiated, involving the collection of CCTV footage and other crucial evidence from the crime scene.

Gang War Motive

Preliminary investigations suggest that the murder is likely linked to an ongoing gang war between two rival groups. Ballu Pehalwan, a resident of Dinpur near Najafgarh in Delhi, had a history of criminal cases, including murder charges, registered against him. He was known to frequent the gym in Faridabad, where he met his untimely demise.

Background of Ballu Pehalwan

Beyond his criminal involvements, Ballu Pehalwan was also the head of an NGO called Bharat Bhavishya Foundation. He had even ventured into politics, contesting elections from the Matia Mahal seat assembly constituency in Delhi. However, his reputation as a 'bad character' had been well-established by the Delhi Police.

Legal Proceedings

Following the incident, an FIR was registered under sections 302 (murder), 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and the Arms Act at Sector 8 police station. The complaint was filed by Pehalwan's wife, Rajjo Devi, who is now seeking justice for her husband's untimely demise.

Ongoing Investigation

The Faridabad Police, led by spokesperson Sube Singh, have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to apprehend the accused individuals responsible for this heinous crime. Efforts are being made to gather additional evidence and track down the perpetrators to ensure that they are brought to justice.
